Iowa is bordered by the Mississippi River on the east along with the Missouri River and the Big Sioux River on the west and is the only state whose east and west borders are formed almost entirely by rivers. Iowa is blessed with a variety of rivers, creeks, and lakes offering a number of different types of recreation experiences, from boating and kayaking to fishing and camping.
